Healthy Peanut Butter Banana Cookies

I am very happy this week because I really feel like all my hard work of exercising and eating right is paying off.  I was able to lose about 5lbs., but most importantly I am feeling so much better.  I have also noticed that my appetite has gone down, so I feel fuller on less food, which is a big deal for me because I love to eat.

So in spirit of trying to be healthier and because I had several bananas that were getting mussy…

Healthy Peanut Butter Banana Cookies

(This is where I got the original recipe)


Healthy Cookies

  • (2) Ripe Bananas
  • (4) Tablespoons Peanut Butter (I used all natural)
  • (1) Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2/3 Cups Flour
  • (1) Teaspoon Honey

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Mix together mashed bananas, peanut butter, vanilla, and honey. Add in flour slowly and mix well. Dough will have a sticky and oily consistency. Grease (1) cookies sheets. Roll into balls or use a cookie scoop.  Smash the balls flat with a fork in perpendicular pattern. Bake for 10 minutes. Yields over two dozen depending on the size you make the cookies.

Healthy Cookies

These cookies kind of remind me of a mixture between peanut butter cookies and banana muffins.  They are lightly sweet from the honey and very filling from the peanut butter and banana. And with only about 38 calories per cookie, grab a couple for a yummy snack!
